Did an on-line searching and both Maghavan & Maghavat points towards Indra.
(Magha-va = possessing gifts or wealth, benificient)

maghavat is the stem word and maghavAn is the singular nominative form of that stem word.
प्रथमाविभक्तिः मघवान् मघवन्तौ मघवन्तः
द्वितीयाविभक्तिः मघवन्तम् मघवन्तौ मघवतः
त्रितीयाविभक्तिः मघवता मघवद्भ्याम् मघवद्भिः
चतुर्थीविभक्तिः मघवते मघवद्भ्याम् मघवद्भ्यः
पञ्चमीविभक्तिः मघवतः मघवद्भ्याम् मघवद्भ्यः
षष्ठविभक्तिः मघवतः मघवतोः मघवताम्
सप्तमीविभक्तिः मघवति मघवतोः मघवत्सु
सम्बोधनम्- हे मघवन्! हे मघवन्तौ! हे मघवन्तः!

Actually there is no difference between the meaning of the both. Both are morphologically different and not semantically.
